Orthodontics: It is important to make certain that your teeth are in good health and free of decay before starting braces. Have your teeth cleaned before braces by your general dentist. Make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed before your begin treatment.

Don't know: Obviously your dentist has reasons for making the mould of your teeth and for placing the braces. Usually before starting an orthodontic treatment the dentist will need X-rays to check for cavities and to make some measurements to evaluate and plan your orthodontic treatment.some times the X-rays and pictures are taken at an outside dental lab. It is best if you ask your dentist.

You should : Before placing braces on your teeth, you always need a check-up and x-rays for decay or gum problems. You also need orthodontic x-rays and records before braces. Ask your dentist for more information.
