What is the dangers in radiation of gamma rays and x-rays?

Can cause cancer: Radiation from various sources has the potential to cause cell damage leading to Cancer. The risk is based on the total dose of radiation received by a subject. Moderate doses are commonly used to treat cancer and low doses are commonly receeived when doing X-ray imaging of the body but these are felt to be safe(for medical uses)
