Yes: This requires a trip to your doctor. You could have a blood clot in one of the deep veins in your leg. This is serious so go now.

Yes: This could be a varicosity, a varicosity with clot and inflammation (superficial phlebitis), a DVT (which is a potentially serious problem), or not vein related. I suggest evaluation by your physician as soon as possible.
