Just confirmed 10.5 calcium and 108 pth. do i need to see endocrinologist or proceed directly to an endocrine surgeon to discuss parathyroid surgery?

High calcium and PTH: You need to have your primary doctor refer you for an imaging study of your thyroid and parathyroid. Management will be likely be recommended after that. Generally surgical but not a big issues. There are four parathyroid glands and only one might be responsible for your lab data. Wish you well.

What's ur VitD level: Your clinician should check a 25-OH vitamin D level, as vitamin D deficiency can cause secondary hyperparathyroidism. If normal, your clinician should order an ultrasound of the neck to assess for parathyroid adenomas, - if +, then a head and neck surgery referral would be appropriate. If -, then an endocrinology referral would be indicated. Take care.
