Question not clear: Patients do not usually have total thyroidectomy because of hashimoto's thyroiditis. We need more information to answer your question.

Need more info: in patients post thyroid surgery, can have transient low parathyroid hormone, responsible for low calcium levels. We will need more information to answer your question.
