Being subjective: sensation, I don't think it would be possible to predict your individual response and qualify it as a discomfort or pain. Having said that, it might be reassuring for you to know that application of local anesthetic gel on mucosal surface is usually very effective and a lot of patients do tolerate similar procedures without any major problems. You are the patient and you are in control, good luck.
