Last q! i plan on seeing a strabismologist, but if mri is clear, does that most likely mean diplopia is muscular and not neurological? thank you.

Likely: But not absolute. The muscle of the eye can be normal but the nerve to the eye muscle from the brain can be the problem. MRI's show a lot, but no test is 100% perfect. Tiny changes can exist that are not yet detectable by MRI.
