A member asked:

I have diplopia. went to the eye doctor & he found nothing wrong with my eyes. i went to a neurologist had an mri, was clear. what else could it be?

Causes of diplopia: If the symptom was caused by the muscles behind the eyes, you could have this result. The MRI does not help so much here. Does it matter what direction you look in? Or whether you turn your eyes to one side, or tilt your head? These can be helpful clues. Most people have a little weakness in the lateral rectus muscle, although some have a condition like myasthenia gravis.
