I get really bad period cramps is there anything i can do to make it hurt less other then taking medicine?

PMS: Your periods are regulated by the lower part of the brain. The cramps are because of increased signals to the uterus. I would expect you to have sugar or salt craving and be more emotional pre period. Strangely enough, your empty calorie diet is responsible. Eat god made food and get rid of the junk, especially sugar and/or salty foods like pretzels. Also get a good multivitamin.

Period pain TX:: warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile can dissipate pain.
