Possibly: For the money a UA is perhaps the most powerful test in medicine. A dipstick can potentially detect diabetes, kidney damage, bleeding or infection and offer clues to hydration. As far as "chemical imbalance" more detailed urine tests can be done for presence of drugs, toxic substances or hormones which may be in excess causing disease (eg Cushings, or "pheo").
