Post op heel pain: Where was the surgery? .In general after surgery should have less pain new onset is something to call the doctor about. The heel pain may be plantar fasciitis ,nerve irritation, achilles tendonitis, if had surger yby the heel could lbe infection Could try motrin (NSAIDS), ice 10 minute on 50 off 3-4 times a day and call the doctor today.

Details.: In order to answer as to the burning, you need to describe the surgery. Did it involve soft tissue only, soft tissue and bone or just bone. Was it on the side of heel, back of the heel or bottom of the heel.
