What kind of virus could cause your alt to suddenly elevate to 74? had nocturnal fevers for 4 nights but they dissipated.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, ALT of 74 is not terribly high and you may just wish to repeat it in about three months. If you take alcohol, stop entirely for there months before the test.
