Possibly...: Zolpidem hits the same receptors as the benzodiazepines (Valium and such) and that's how it makes you sleepy. Also the FDA has put out a bulletin that women should take a lower dose (5 mg) than men. So if you have the 10 mg's get a good pill splitter and cut the dose in half to 5mg. and observe.
