It should not hurt: But i would take only half the nyquil dose so you are not over sedated in the morning.

Bad idea!: Nyquil is 25% alcohol! drinking alcohol on top of taking Ambien (zolpidem) could be a dangerous cocktail, indeed. Accidental overdoses can occur in situations such as these so good call asking the question.
