Was dx with ibs a couple years ago( all tests at time were normal). just had fecal calprotectin level checked and it is 348.5, the normal ref range says it should be anything under 162. is this considered very elevated? can ibs cause this?

Time to re-evaluate: You may have IBS, but the elevated fecal calprotectin raises the possibility as well or instead of colonic inflammation. Further testing is indicated...
