A deeper cause: If this has never gone away, perhaps the antibiotics selected are not the best for your infection, or perhaps there is a "reservoir of infection" below the skin. If the infections recur after going away for some time (or even if they do not), you may be especially susceptible to staph infections; your immune system may not be functioning properly. It is time to see a specialist and get some tests.
