Diagnosed with staph infection, doctor suspects its from overactive colony in my nose that was reacting with small cuts from shaving and from acne in the area. scared this means my immune system isn't strong. can healthy people get staph from nose?

Common: This is common in healthy persons. Staphylococci bacteria reside in the nostrils and is spread to different parts of the body. So this is not abnormal. The fact that u have a staph skin infection does not make u have low immunity. Staph can take advantage of any break in the skin to cause an infection. Just keeping wounds clean and dry usually suffices. It may be worrisome only if recurrent.
