Intermittent chills?: Do you have a history of recent foreign travel to an area of the world where you might have contracted malaria. It is a disease which is notorious for having people on a roller coaster of fever- no fevers. Different parts of the world have different types which are treated differently. Check CDC website for most up to date info.
