A member asked:

Loose stools on and off, more frequent 3 times a day , no blood, booked in for colonoscopy how likely isit going to be bowel cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rare things are rare: Young adults under age 30 are unlikely to have bowel cancer. A person can never tell if she is the rare unlucky one to get cancer at a young age. More importantly, a person cannot live her life worrying about rare diseases. So, the best one can do is live a healthy life, see the doctor for evaluation and do the colonoscopy if advised. These loose stools are likely caused by something noncancerous.
