I have been prescribed 25mg of lexapro (escitalopram) by my doctor as full effects not felt at 20mg. is this safe and common to take above 20mg? could this help?

No: I am a PCP that treats alot of psych issues, as is the case in primary care nowadays. I do not, nor have I seen patients who are managed by a psychiatrist, commonly take above the recommended max dose of 20 mg for Lexapro (escitalopram).
