Abscess now cyst: Greetings. I sympathize with you regarding your peritonsillar abscess. Some of my patients suffering the most are those with a PTA. The fact that you still have pain and swelling means that you may need further care and possibly even a tonsillectomy. I feel the cyst is probably unrelated however your surgeon will make that determination. Follow up with your ENT for a recheck.
