Mouths and Sores: I may need more information. A tooth abscess is the first thought and this would need immediate dental evaluation. Herpes or other cold sore like lesions would quickly respond to anti-herpes medications. Infections not in the above categories such as bitten tongue and other cheek injuries from teeth may heal on their own without any intervention.

See a dentist ASAP: A mouth infection won't go away without treatment and then it may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment.
