Antibiotics will not cure tooth infection, only limit the spread of the infection as long as you take the pills. Infection will come roaring back once pills are discontinued. Also, misuse of antibiotics have allowe development of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, requiring change to different antibiotic. See your Dentist IMMEDIATELY. The swelling you describe is of great concern.
