Those Darn Fifths.: It is not unusual for the 5th metatarsal to take a little longer to totally heal. Allot of pain after six months is a reason to have it examined. Walking or not, the pain is an indication that something may be amiss.

Need to determine: how the bone is healing. I assume you have had discussions with your doc? what did they say? was this a jones fracture? what type of fixation was used?
