Hi doc. my husband is on 30mg of lexamil a day. when he has a few alcoholic drinks there is a bad "reaction". is lexamil and alcohol a bad mix?

Yes: Most antidepressants like lexamil (escitalopram) do not mix well with alcohol. If at all possible people on these medications should not use alcohol at all. If one does choose to drink alcohol while on lexamil it should be limited to one drink only.
