Now, in moderation: With or without a concussion, too much caffeine and too much alcohol is not good for you. In addition, if the head trauma occurred as a result of alcohol-induced impairment, you need to consider whether you have a significant alcohol problem. Your treating physician is the best source of information on this, and is who you should be asking.

Do not rush: After a concussion, you might find alcohol to have a greater effect on you then before the concussion. Consider a moderation approach to alcohol and caffeine containing drinks.
