An idea: Pain should be controlled by pain meds. If immediate denture, will act as "bandage". Variable amount of bleeding, swelling. The more work necessary to extract teeth, the more symptoms afterwards. Best bet is to have teeth taken out by oral surgeon.

Post extraction care: After having the extractions you may have some pain and swelling. The dentist or oral surgeon doing them should be able to prescribe a pain medication for you and possibly an antibiotic. If you are having an immediate denture inserted following the extractions, you may want to have a 24 hour post extraction check. I usually do this with all my immediate denture patients as a courtesy.

Many changes: You could have some mild to moderate pain for a few days, but after 6-7 days you will begin to feel better. You may ooze blood for 24-36 hrs and you may or may not get stitches. Without replacements for your teeth, (dentures or better yet implant retained teeth) your gums and jaw bone will shrink and cause you to look older. Some dentists will even have dentures to deliver to you on ur surgery day
