I had chickpox as kid. i have shingles now, for a week. i am on valtrex (valacyclovir) and suddenly have a few bug bite like bumps. could this be chickpox? age34

No: Can't have both conditions, from the science we know so far, and the description doesn't fit chickenpox, it might be as you said bug bites, hard to make a diagnosis without at least a picture, please continue your medicines as prescribed, if the rash is getting worse, revisit your doctor

Dr. Hegab is right! However, if you get more bumps all over, it could be a reaction to the medicine and you may be allergic to it. Call the doc that gave it.
