What does a kink in your small intestine mean?

Nothing: Unless you are having symptoms of bowel obstruction. Usually the kink is due to prior abdominal surgery and adhesions. The obstruction can be partial, intermittent or complete, the latter usually requiring surgical correction and the former two usual respond to bowel rest in the hospital for 1-3 days.
