Laryngopharyngeal reflux has caused severe throat irritation . i am on nexium (esomeprazole) for a month with little improvement. is this type of healing long term?

Yes: If indeed LPR is the cause of your throat irritation (and the condition is frequently misdiagnosed) it often takes a long time to see improvement. Occasionally it can take 3 months with double dose therapy to get relief.
