A member asked:

Do the ppi's such as nexium (esomeprazole) and other prescription ppi's work to help laryngopharyngeal reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If LPR is your problem, ppi (proton pump inhibitors) are the treatment. It is important to take ppi's as prescribed. Every day on an empty stomach 60 minutes before a meal. After a few weeks of regular use, if your problem hasn't resolved, speak to your physician.
