Seek advise: Forest fire smoke can have some serious negative long-term negative consequences. You should seek the advise of your primary care provider or even better a pulmonologist as soon as possible. You may have to change jobs .

Stay indoors if possible: if you cannot, wear a mask when outside, use short acting bronchodilators prophylactically and as needed, take all your asthma controller medicines as prescribed, ER or urgent care if uncontrolled cough , wheezing or shortness of breath, follow your asthma action plan if you already have one, mainly follow your peak flow measurements, if less than 50% of your personal best go to ER, take care
