Depends: It may but asthma can reoccur even after being symptom free for along periods of time. Even though you may not need you medicines at present, i would keep your rescue meds available for any unexpected emergency.

Hopefully: Not sure why you were taken off meds if your symptoms seem to persist. However, it is not uncommon for asthmatics to reduce and ultimately be drug free. If you are able to avoid your "triggers" there is a good chance to improve and stay off meds.If your symptoms persist, ask about keeping a rescue inhaler as a precaution. Good Luck
