Gingivitis: Gingivitis is a term used to describe a mild periodontal (gum) infection. As long as you have no serious medical problems, a professional cleaning followed by proper home care (brushing and flossing) is all that is needed to resolve the problem. However, you must do this every day & see your dentist every 6 months for follow-up evaluations. https://www.perio.org/consumer/types-gum-disease.html

Cure...: No. There is no cure. However, proper daily hygiene and regular professional visits at the interval recommended by the dentist or hygienist, proper nutrition and lifestyle will help reduce the chances of it returning.
