Buckle fracture: is a misnomer for an adult and nondisplaced but slight impacted fracture is more likely. Cast or splint may help if a fracture is unstable or very swollen or paoinful with range of motion. Tapong ,may work but leaves the fingers free to absorb force and may be OK in some cases. A lot depends upon the extent of soft tissue injury or swelling and the ealuaton of the frature seen well in 3 views XRAY
