Not likely, but: Most people require 10 to 20 mg. 2.5 mg could work for people lacking a 2D6 enzyme, or for people who are slow 2D6 metabolizers: that would raise the level. Or, if you are taking other medications that interact with escitalopram to raise the level. Or, you could be a great placebo responder.
