Good with treatment: Believe it or not, we have data from World War 2 concentration camps where there were plenty of doctor prisoners but no treatment available. They found that the mortality rate of untreated appendicitis was only ~5%. With treatment, mortality will be lower, although the course may be pronged prior to getting well.
