Pain: Appendix is a tube attached to your large colon if a piece of hard stool gut trapped in the lumen will cause enough swelling that will stop the blood supply to the tip of the appendix and caused rupture that will cause infection spreading inside the abdomen and it could be a life threatening appendix is made from a small lymph node like cell it can swell up as respond to near infection.
