Hydronephrosis : Hydronephrosis is a condition where one or both kidney(s) are swollen and it may represent an obstruction (acute or chronic) from stone disease, tumor or a condition known as reflux disease. Theray, as you can imagine, depends on what is causing this condition. If there is a stone, a simple removal of the stone will resolve the retention. If you have reflux disease, you may need surgery.
