Treatment of CKD: At CKD stage 4, you do not need dialysis at present. If you CKD progresses to end stage renal disease, you will need to start on dialysis or have a transplant. You do not list that you have diabetes or hypertension, if the cause of your CKD is polycystic kidney disease, not much can be done for your decline into higher stages of ckd. Your nephrologist is the one to speak to about your prognosis.
