Guessing not good: Guessing the cause of your problem is not a good idea. Several possibilities and you should do as you are doing; seeing your MD soon. If you are pregnant at this time, you should not take any medication without your OB MD being aware and okaying the medication unless it is an emergency. The swelling you describe should be told to your OB today if you are pregnant.
