A member asked:

Positive ana with titer 1:80 homogeneous and 1:80 speckled. what does this all mean? constant headaches and fatigue. possibility of lupus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, ANA positive at 1:80 is just above the normal limit and may not mean any disease. It would be prudent to consult a rheumatologist.
