A member asked:

Just got a positive ana, 1:80 titer homogeneous pattern. i have lots of potential autoimmune symptoms. how likely is lupus based on those lab results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You need to be seen: If the ANA is positive you could indeed have lupus. The diagnosis is made by history, medical exam and in many cases, further laboratory testing. Severe lupus may require treatment. Mild cases require monitoring. This is not the forum to answer that question. Rheumatologist are the specialist that diagnose and treat lupus. Your questions should be answered in a doctor's office.
