Hoarseness: Greetngs. Did your ENT doctor view your vocal cords during your visit? With prolonged hoarseness, an endoscopic examination is warranted. Often times inflammation around the the vocal cord region may point to a reflux condition. This could be associated with heartburn or be silent. Tonsils could be the source of the inflammation. Ask your doctor for a second opinion. That may help you find relief.
