severe sinusitis, taking cefdinir 600mg. sinuses blocked by tonsils and other inflammation/grey areas on ct scan. what symptoms should i keep eye on?

Severe Sinusitis: Hello, your sinus CT report is somewhat confusing. Tonsils are located in the back of the oral cavity and the sinuses drain into the nasal cavity. Maybe the grey areas you were seeing were polyps. The cefdinir is an appropriate antibiotic for treatment. Symptoms to monitor would be increasing fever, lethargy, facial and particularly eye swelling. If these occur, visit your closest ER promptly.

Not necessarily: Family history - mother's and father's, and sibling's - can suggest a predilection for ear infections, but it is only a tendency, not definite. If there is a family history, monitor closely.

How can I prevent inflammation of stomach lining due to blood thinner plavix (clopidogrel)?

Take with food: Do not take the medicine on an empty stomach and it sometimes is helpful to take medicines such as antacids that are used to treat gastritis. Many people can take Plavix (clopidogrel) without problems. Some of the medications can interfere with the action of the Plavix (clopidogrel) so consult your physician.

OTC or Rx: You can start with simple over the counter antihistamines like claritin, zyrtec, Allegra (get generic store brands to save money). If those don't work, your next step is to start with your pcp and you may benefit from nasal steroid sprays (flomase, nasonex, (mometasone) rhincort)!or antihistamine nasal sprays (astepro, astelin, patanase).

Is it possible to have lasik eye surgery to correct vision problems caused by an eye injury?

Unlikely: If he eye injury was severe enough to change the focus of the eye, you likely are not an ideal candidate for lasik. Sometimes, with limited scarring of the cornea prk can be used to clear the cornea - this is lasik without the flap performed directly on the anterior corneal surface.

A friend gets a severe pain on her lower right side of her abdomen and her tongue feels numb. What can this be? Her gallbladder was removed 3years ago

Probably unrelated: Abdominal pain and tongue numbness are likely unrelated. Many things can cause right sided abdominal pain, even after gallbladder removal. The most common things that cause tongue numbness is tongue swelling, most commonly due to allergies or poisonings.
