Hernia?: Any mention of groin pain raises the possibility of a hernia, which would typically be associated with a lump that is larger with standing and coughing. Could also be a back problem, groin muscle strain, or trunk muscle strain. If you're worried, see your primary care doctor for a proper evaluation. Hope this helps!
