Specializes in Pediatrics

No.: As a clinical geneticist, I have expertise in causes of birth defects and delayed development. To my knowledge, no one has ever identified anxiety or panic attacks as causing harm to the developing fetus. Some medications, such as some anticonvulsants, can harm the baby, as can some antianxiety medications.
