Anxiety and GI tract: Yes, anxiety can cause all kinds of gastrointestinal symptoms, including constipation. However, anxiety may not be the sole cause of your constipation. To help reduce constipation drink a lot of water, eat fruits and vegetables and try regular exercise. If constipation continues, get medically checked out to see if there are any other issues or medication recommendations.
