Constipation: Constipation results often from dehydration, not eating enough fiber, sedentary lifestyle, use of certain medications, etc. For regular bowel movements, drink at least 8, 8oz glasses of water a day or more. Also plenty of leafy green and other vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Eating prunes every day may help. Exercise regularly. Fiber supplement. More info: http://tinyurl.Com/3rwjth3.

Constipation diet:: I agree with dr. Pappas. Prunes have been shown to be more effective than fiber supplements. Also, check out www.Drmcdougall.Com and www.Nutritionfacts.Org for plant-based diet information. Constipation is much less likely on a plant-based diet. If anxiety and stress is a significant factor for you, see a mental health professional.
