VERY accurate: The HIV PCR RNA tests are more expensive but are accurate within a shorter time frame than antibody based tests. They are certainly very accurate ..I'm sure you could get different experts to argue that they are 95% accurate vs 99% accurate. If you have a negative HIV PCR RNA test you should be reassured and not allow yourself to continue to feel anxious about it. Focus on not repeating situation
